The Vancouver Basketball Foundation™ to begin new three year partnership in British Columbia

Vancouver, British Columbia - The Vancouver Basketball Foundation™ is excited to announce a three (3) year partnership with the Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation.

This partnership will provide critical funding directly to our STRONGHER™ Program. Since its inauguration, we have served 60+ girls & young women in our community & hosted six (6) guest speakers from across B.C. STRONGHER™ is open to any self-identifying young womxn including Indigenous, two-spirited, non-binary, 2SLGTQIA+, vulnerable and at-risk youth in BC. This program is also delivered both in-person & digitally so all youth have access regardless of location and COVID-19 restrictions.

“Our mission at Pacific Blue Cross is to improve the health and wellbeing for all British Columbians,” says Jim Iker, Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation board. “That’s why we’re excited to support the Vancouver Basketball Foundation’s STRONGHER™ Program, which inspires a life-long passion for active wellness in a supportive and safe female-identified environment.”

We are excited and incredibly grateful for the Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation’s belief in our community impact and efforts through sport and health.
